30K - 60K - 90K Maintenance

Avoid high cost repairs with regular maintenance services - Fluids break down and deteriorate, and no longer give your car the protection it requires. To ensure your car's peak performance, manufacturers recommend periodic maintenance services and fluid exchanges, such as: coolant flush, transmission fluid flush, power steering and brake flush. Following these recommended services can help save you a lot of money later on by avoiding potentially greater costs for major repairs. At Ernie's Truck and Auto Repair, we follow your manufacturer's recommendations (most will recommend 30K-60K-90K maintenance) to ensure that your vehicle is operating properly.

Performing Regular Maintenance

Don't forget the maintenance! It's the little things that count, and checking a few of these little things off your list will put you ahead of the game, and ease the pain in your wallet. Most maintenance checks only take a minute, and most maintenance tasks can be tackled in an afternoon. Don't maintain your car and you'll pay the price down the road.

SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE :

Everything you wanted to know about your MANUFACTURER SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE but were afraid to ask.

True: Advances in automotive technology have resulted in cars that are better built and longer lasting, but no matter what the dealer's commercial may promise, they are not maintenance-free and parts do wear down. To assure peak performance and to assure that you get years of trouble-free driving, your manufacturer has developed a recommended maintenance schedule for your vehicle, which is outlined in your owner's manual.

When should my car have Scheduled Maintenance?

There are two types of maintenance services - minor and major. Minor services are generally performed at 7,500, 15,000, 45, 000 and 75,000 miles while major services are performed at 30,000, 60,000 and 90,000 mile intervals.

What is the "minor service"?

While it varies by make and model, minor services generally include:

  • changing the oil and oil filter.

  • lubricating the chassis if it has not been factory sealed.

  • an inspection of all fluids, filters, belts, hoses, brakes and emissions.

What is the "major service"?

While it varies by make and model, major services generally include:

  • all minor services.

  • the replacement of various filters, fluids, and spark plugs.

  • timing belt replacement at the manufacturer’s recommended replacement interval.

  • other specified major services relate to the fuel delivery, emissions, and ignition systems.

Will your service validate my warranty?

Scheduled maintenance service must be completed in order to keep your warranty valid. We install will meet or exceed manufacturer’s standards, and all used parts will be returned to you upon request.

We strongly advises that you have maintenance services performed based on the manufacturer’s suggested schedule. Additional services may also be recommended based on our inspection of the vehicle and industry standards.

The best way to keep your car running as smoothly and purring  as softly as the day you bought it, even up to 200,000 miles and more, call us for regularly scheduled maintenance. From belts to batteries, brake jobs to Tire Rotation, exhaust to air conditioning, suspension  systems to filters. We will help prevent costly repairs to your car, van, light truck or SUV.

So there’s no reason to wait for a rattle, rattle, thunder or a boom, boom, boom. Just get on a regularly scheduled maintenance program for 30,000, 60,000, 90,000, and even 200,000, check ups. It will pay off down the road.

And keep you on the road a lot longer.
